From Trypillia to Today: What Everyone Should Know About Ukrainian Wine

Elle Ukraine publishes an interview with wine expert and sommelier Anna Yevheniia Yanchenko on the occasion of her book release “29 Centuries: The Rediscovered History of Wine in Ukraine.” In the section with wine recommendations for different life occasions, Beykush is mentioned three times: Artania Rose is recommended for a summer gathering with friends, Kara Kermen for a cozy winter evening (“full-bodied, with notes of dried fruits, chocolate and oak — its structure and richness will create the feel of a fireplace even without a flame”), and Lerich from the rare Timorasso variety for unwinding after work. Beykush Amphora Rkatsiteli is also cited as an alternative for a romantic date. The article traces the history of Ukrainian winemaking from the Trypillia culture to the present day, highlighting the rapid development of the industry since 2016.
