Ukraine winery in area shelled by Russia wins gold at Decanter wine awards

The Guardian reports on Beykush Winery’s triumph at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2022, where our Reserve Chardonnay 2019 took gold with a score of 95 points. The article describes how the Shneideris family continues working despite shelling in the Ochakiv district of Mykolaiv region, and how the competition bottles had to be shipped via Hungary. Our director Svitlana Tsybak is quoted: “I can’t say we were surprised that we won because our wine is really, really good.” In total, Beykush earned one gold, two silver and three bronze medals at DWWA 2022, marking a breakthrough in the winery’s international recognition.
