Artania Pet Nat is a sparkling wine made by the méthode ancestrale, the oldest method of producing sparkling wines, predating even the Champagne method. The blend consists of Pinot Gris (50%) and Riesling (50%) — two aromatic varieties that together create a vibrant yet complex character.
The grapes are hand-picked in mid-September. Each variety is pressed separately, on different days, but after pressing the musts are combined and fermented together — a key distinction that sets this Pet Nat apart from an ordinary blend. At the final stage of fermentation, the process is cold-stopped and the wine is bottled, where it completes fermentation naturally. It is this secondary fermentation in bottle that creates the gentle natural sparkle and the characteristic light sediment — hallmarks of a true Pet Nat.
The aroma offers a combination of sea buckthorn, acacia, and citrus notes over a fresh bun dusted with sugar. The palate reveals apples, thyme, and basil, while the finish delivers a zesty acidity that invites another sip. This is a wine for those seeking something truly alive and unaffected — unfiltered, with no added yeast or sugar, with all the sincerity of natural winemaking.

Tasting Notes
From the classics to the modern — just one Pet Nat away. When you have already tasted so much, it is time for another surprise: one that refreshes the palate and walks in step with the wine world's latest trends. The bouquet bursts with a wild pairing of sea buckthorn and acacia on freshly baked sweet-dusted rolls. On the palate: crisp apple, thyme, basil. Everything is rounded off in the finish with a lively, pleasant acidity. This duo of grape varieties convinced us to take things a little more lightly than they might appear. We are reviving forgotten techniques and reminding you, through this wine, that they can taste entirely new.
