Beresagne White is a single-varietal wine made from Albarino, a Mediterranean grape that has found a new home on the Black Sea coast. The grapes are hand-picked in mid-September, when the berries reach an ideal balance between ripeness and freshness.
After harvest, the grapes undergo cold maceration for 12 hours at 4°C — this allows delicate extraction of aromatic compounds from the skins without pulling excess bitterness. The juice is fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 17°C, preserving the bright fruit character of the variety. After fermentation, the wine is aged on fine lees with regular batonnage for 3 months, adding texture and volume.
Albarino is a variety traditionally associated with the Atlantic coast of Spain and Portugal. The Beykush vineyards, located on the Black Sea shore near Mykolaiv, create a unique terroir for this grape: sea breeze, a long sunny season, and sandy-limestone soils shape a wine with its own recognisable character.
