Yafe Nagar is a white wine from the Beykush Historical Series, a blend of Chardonnay (50%) and Riesling (50%). The name translates from Hebrew as "Beautiful River" — it was the name of the first Jewish agricultural colony, founded in 1807 in southern Ukraine. The wine is dedicated to the Jewish winemakers of the Black Sea region, who left a notable mark on the area's winemaking history.
Each variety is hand-picked at a different time: Chardonnay at the beginning of September, Riesling at the end of the month, when it achieves optimal acidity and aromatics. After harvest, the varieties are fermented separately in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 17°C, then aged on lees for 4 months with regular batonnage, which lends the wine a creamy texture.
The defining feature of Yafe Nagar is the remarkably long aging of the final blend in French oak barrels for 27 months. For a white wine, this is an exceptional duration that builds a deep, multilayered character with complex notes of toasted oak, vanilla, and spice, while preserving the elegant fruit expression of both varieties.

Tasting Notes
The wine is lively and juicy, reminiscent of an apple in honey, a bouquet of flowers, and a light creamy Chardonnay. Riesling adds a spicy herbal note.
