Ukrainian Wines: Top Sommeliers Share Their Favourites for Independence Day

NV.ua publishes an extensive feature in which three of Ukraine’s leading sommeliers recommend their favourite Ukrainian wines for Independence Day. Beykush is mentioned repeatedly: Ivan Perchekliy, winner of the 2017 sommelier competition, names the orange wine Arbina the finest orange wine in Ukraine — “Where would we be without Arbina? Of all the Ukrainian orange wines I have tasted, I have yet to find a better one.” Igor Postoyankyn, Ukraine’s Best Sommelier of 2025, recommends Arbina 2021 as one of the finest examples of orange wine, one that consistently ranks at the top in blind tastings. Ivan Bachurin, President of the Sommelier Association of Ukraine, singles out Beykush wines, describing 11 hectares of French and Italian clones and an experimental vineyard planted with rare varieties.
