Artania White is an original blend of six grape varieties, each contributing its unique note to the overall harmony. Sauvignon Blanc (33%) provides structure and freshness, Riesling (23%) adds aromatic complexity, Rkatsiteli (14%) brings texture and body, Chardonnay (11%) delivers roundness, Chenin Blanc (10%) offers honeyed nuances, and the rare Italian variety Timorasso (9%) completes the palette with mineral character.
Harvesting spans the entire month of September: Chardonnay is picked first, at the beginning of the month, while the remaining varieties are harvested later, when the berries reach optimal ripeness. Each variety is hand-picked and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 17°C to preserve varietal purity. After fermentation, the wines age on fine lees for 4 months with regular batonnage — stirring of the lees — which lends a creamy texture and additional depth of flavor. Only then does the winemaker create the final blend.
Six varieties in one wine is not merely an experiment but the result of years of observing how each grape expresses itself in the conditions of Beykush. Timorasso, for instance, is a Piedmontese variety rarely encountered even in Italy, yet it has found a new home on the Ukrainian coast.
